Menopause
An acupuncturist will first determine where the energy has changed, and what organ systems have become unbalanced. Then various natural therapies such as acupuncture, herbs, mediation, QiGong and diet can be used to correct the imbalances.
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine offer a safe, natural, drug-free and effective way to address menopause. Treatment supports the healing energies of Jing, Yin and Yang, providing the body with the building blocks it needs in order to nourish, heal, and regain balance.
3
Postpartum
The same way it helps with infertility, menopause, and stress; by stimulating the pituitary, the master endocrine gland, which regulates hormone levels. Hormones and neurotransmitters determine our mood, our energy level, and greatly influence us on the level of perception, thinking, and emotion. Because of the loss of estrogen, progesterone, and other hormones, as well as elevated cortical levels following the stress of childbirth, adjusting in the postpartum transition can be difficult. Acupuncture can provide a safe and effective treatment for this trying time.
4
Dysmenorrhea
Acupuncture may be a helpful complementary treatment for dysmenorrhea (painful periods). While research suggests it can reduce pain and associated symptoms, the evidence is still somewhat limited and some studies have methodological flaws. More high-quality studies are needed to confirm acupuncture's effectiveness and establish optimal treatment protocols.
5
Pain management
We start this process with a deep understanding of your pain with a thorough health history and examination. With an additional computerized energy balance analysis, we can compose a customized treatment plan just you. Then we monitor the progress to ensure your body is fully recovered.
6
Stress and depression
Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) incorporate thousands of years of experience in treating depression. Not only can they help alleviate the signs and symptoms accompanying depression, but they can also safely and naturally address the root causes and underlying imbalances that have contributed to the problem.
